Belly Watch Update - Weeks 14 and 15

 

 Finally kicked the nausea just in time for Christmas. Feels so good to finally want to eat and I'm finally able to eat some healthy foods again. I'm craving potatoes and spinach salads with lots of vegetables and ranch dressing. Yum! I thought I would never see the day that I wanted to eat vegetables again.

Merry Christmas from Baby K. I was so proud to show off my bump at Christmas - and no, that is not just too much Christmas dinner.

 

So thankful for all the generous Christmas gifts from our families. We appreciate all of the wonderful baby gifts and fun additions to the nursery. Once we find out the gender and decide on which room to use for the baby room, we will have so much fun displaying our new toys and organizing the beautiful new baby clothes!

 

Here is one of my favorite new decorations for the baby room. It's a laundry hamper that I saw on Pinterest a while back and loved it. Both cute and functional - at least that is what my Mom and I thought! Not sure if the boys understood...

Weeks 12 and 13

Belly Bump Watch!

These are 12 and 13 week shots of the growing bump. By this time we have told family, friends, and work about our news and I'm finally able to show off my tummy proudly. 11 weeks is a long time to hide behind baggy shirts and scarves. Especially when I've been in maternity pants for the last month!
 
Oh, and Porter just couldn't resist getting in the picture. Although he doesn't know what is going on, he knows something is up. He just loves kids and babies so we know he will be a great guard dog and play mate to our wee one.

Ultrasound Week 13. Since we couldn't hear the heart beat on the doppler thingy, our doctor did an ultrasound and baby is healthy and heart rate was good.

The Announcements!

 

 

We made the announcement to my family at my Mom's 60th Birthday Party. She had exciting news to share with the whole family. Not only was she going to become a Grammie, but she was, also, gaining a daughter-in-law. My brother proposed to his wonderful girlfriend while on vacation in Hawaii, and we couldn't be more thrilled that she said YES! It was a great day to celebrate all the exciting news and to celebrate my mom's big birthday.

 

 

We announced our good news to Phil's family at Thanksgiving. Phil surprised everyone by having them all pose for a picture and right before the camera went off, he told everyone, "Everybody say 'Lisa's pregnant'." It was a fun way to announce to everyone and catch their reactions.

 

We love our family and are so excited to add to it with our Baby K.

Baby week 8

Ta-Daa! Here is baby k measuring at 8 weeks and 4 days. Our doctor called the baby our little jelly bean measuring at just under a centimeter in length. Our expected due date is June 21, 2015. We couldn't be more excited!
